A bungalow at FaaSai Resort

A bungalow at FaaSai Resort

Staying at FaaSai Resort and Spa, I found myself in between warm welcomes and an utterly relaxing environment. The first day I arrived, the owners, Bronwen and Surin, invited me to join them in an early celebration of Christmas in the evening. The surprise was great. I got to know amazing people working around the resort, the owners' family, some of their friends as well as other guests from the hotel. It could not get more welcoming than this in terms of hospitality. We all sat together and ate delicious Thai food, and some Christmas pudding Bronwen had even made herself.

I arrived quite late that day so I did not get to see too much of the resort or its surroundings, but that is why the next day was a delightful one! I got to wake up in a very cozy bungalow, ate a yummy breakfast prepared by the amazing Sura, the house manager, and walked around the resort. The amount of nature that is showcased around the resort makes it such a relaxing environment: a beautiful garden filled with trees and flowers, different fountains and ponds which add to the ambiance and the biggest surprise: their farm located close to the resort.

Bronwen invited me and other guests for a tour of a permaculture farm which was just spectacular. Once again, if you are looking to get relaxed, that is a place to visit. Another important aspect is that I gained so much knowledge on the products they grow there and the benefit they have on our health. The tour lasted almost an hour and we got to go back to the resort with our eyes filled with beautiful scenery and our minds with food for thoughts.

Lunch was again amazing, just like all the meals I got to eat at FaaSai. Sura is an excellent cook and gets to use products directly from the FaaSai farm!

During my stay, I also chose to walk outside the resort to discover its surroundings. Well, let me tell you, I was not ready for the gorgeous scenery situated only 300 meters from the resort: the Kung Wiman Beach and its amazing viewpoints. A beachfront where locals get together to enjoy the view and the serene atmosphere. You will get a piece of the beach just for yourself if you'd like and can buy some delicious treats at the stalls by the beach!!Biking on the scenic route enables you to slowly discover the amazing landscape in which Faasai Resort is situated and to discover a part of Thailand too often overlooked by foreign tourists like me!
